The Posing Horse

The Posing Horse

I woke up one morning and wanted to explore more of the town I had moved into a year ago when I took this picture. This was one of my earlier pictures. I wasn’t familiar with areas or locations yet. I just started driving in a direction I wasn’t familiar with. I made it all the way to edge part of the town. I saw some open pasture with a couple of horses roaming on it. I walked in the direction of the horses hoping I would catch their attention. With my camera ready to take some pictures, I started talking loudly to the horses. One of the horses stopped moving and turned to face me. As I started taking some pictures I caught myself talking out loud to this horse. Telling her (referred to as a her) she’s doing a great job. That her head positioning was great and to keep staying there. After about 5 pictures I became a little self conscious of my actions, lowered my camera, and looked around to see if anyone was looking at me. Nobody was, but the horse moved on and I missed any possible shots to try and work different angles.
